A chapter of Maine Audubon
The Bates Morse Mountain Conservation Area is a great spot for watching the Fall migration of raptors. Maurice and Cathie Dauphin will help you identify the birds as they fly overhead. After the view from the top, an optional walk to Seawall Beach (up to 3 miles total) is possible. Meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Morse Mountain parking lot off Rt. 216. The ending time will vary depending on whether you wish to make the optional beach walk.
