Guest speaker: Derek Lovitch, “Birding in Jamaica: Island Endemics to
Jerk Chicken”.
Join Derek and Jeannette Lovitch on
their tour through Jamaica as they
search for the island’s 28 Endemic
bird species–birds found nowhere
else on the planet. Along the way,
they take time to explore the island’s
ecology and biogeography.

Derek and Jeannette own and operate
Freeport Wild Bird Supply, a retail
store which caters to birders of all
levels. Derek is a published author of
How to be a Better Birder and Birdwatching
in Maine: A Site Guide.
