jstorm

It was a very pleasant, clear and unseasonably warm day as Gordon Smith led a group of 14 birders on a trip to Green Point Farm WMA in Dresden, ME. This area has a wide variety of habitats: weedy fields, abandoned apple orchards, freshwater wetlands, deciduous and coniferous forest, and extensive reed beds along the Kennebec River. A variety of passerine migrants and residents were seen including Palm, Pine, Yellow-rumped, Nashville, and Blackpoll Warblers, Common Swamp Sparrow at Green Point Farm WMA, Dresden, MEYellowthroat, Indigo Bunting and Marsh Wren.
