DESCRIPTION:Note: This date is updated from what is listed in The Call. CBC dates are 12/14–1/5 this year.\nHow the CBC works:\nEach circle is divided into smaller areas w/ 3–6 people covering each area. It's often a dawn-to-dusk event\, but specific times are decided by the team leader. We visit 5–10 locations and we carpool in 1–2 vehicles.\nThis is not a leisurely day birding. We want to count as many birds as possible. Don't be surprised if you're traveling sections of road w/ windows open (even if it's 20° out) or stopping at random spots if there is a lot of activity. Lunch is eaten on the road.\nThe Georgetown team walks 4–5 hours through Reid State Park: entrance\, Griffith's Head\, Mile Beach\, Todd's Point and back to the entrance along the road.\nWe try not to use the weather date if we can help it so conditions may not be ideal. The coordinator makes the final call. All teams in the circle must count on the same day.\nIt's a long day\, but a lot of fun with great people.\nThe coordinator will determine where they need people so you will be assigned to an area\, but we try to accommodate your preference.
