While Merrymeeting Audubon’s organized birdwalks  have been cancelled due to the corona virus pandemic, our migratory birds are returning.  It is still possible to enjoy nature and enjoy  the birds, either by yourself or with a friend. Just remember to practice social distancing and safe behavior.  There are many good areas to visit with good trails.  Some favorites include:

Florida Lake – a town of Freeport property

Brunswick

Dresden

Green Point Wildlife Management Area – State of Maine property

All of these properties are relatively easy walking with obvious trails and details and directions to all are easily found on the internet.
